Randal contacted The Shakedown Gallery in spring of ’10 and asked to have his Homer turned into blotter art. The print was released Memorial Day of that year and made its debut at the Furthur Festival at Angel’s Camp, CA. It was an instant hit!

The Blotterati have been selling psychedelic art, including a large selection of Blotter Art, at music festivals around the country for over a decade. We have also infiltrated the public school system and are corrupting the youth of America.

The purpose for the Blotterati Blotter Blog is, quite simply, that I am interested in All Things Blotter.

I got started in the blotter art racket vending a booth for Key-Z Productions, the company run by Zane and Stephanie Kesey to preserve the legacy of the Acid Tests and the writings of Ken Kesey and other psychedelic luminaries.

My first blotter sale was a Kesey signed Alice in Wonderland blotter. I got it from Zane for $40 and sold it to a friend for $50. To be honest, I never thought signed blotter art was going to be worth much until I laid eyes on the signed double sided Alice blotter.

In the twelve years since I have sold blotter art all over the country.

In 2010 I began to sell it retail online via the Shakedown Gallery. The site is small but comprehensive. If you are looking for any prints, rare or otherwise, please drop a line and let me know. I’ve got a pretty comprehensive idea of what is available.
